Events in Odoo: From Registration to Follow-up
Events, whether a webinar, a workshop, a conference or a local meetup, are a great way to build relationships, but the logistics can be a headache. Odoo Events handles the whole lifecycle. Continuing the series on Odoo Marketing, here is events.
A registration page for each event
Odoo lets you create an event with its own page on your website, where people can find the details and register. Because it is built on Odoo Website, the page looks professional and is quick to set up, and registrations flow straight into the system.
Ticketing and registration
You can offer tickets, free or paid, and manage registrations in one place. Attendees sign up, you see who is coming, and everything is organised rather than tracked across a spreadsheet and an inbox.
Promote it with your marketing tools
Because Events sits alongside Odoo’s email, SMS and social tools, promoting an event uses the same connected audience and channels. You invite the right people, remind registrants, and build attendance using tools that already know your contacts.
Manage attendees smoothly
On the day, Odoo helps you manage attendees, so check-in and running the event are organised. Everyone who registered is in the system, ready, rather than a printout you hope is up to date.
Follow up afterwards
The event is not the end, it is the start of a relationship. Because attendee data is in Odoo, following up is easy: thank people, share materials, and move interested attendees into your sales pipeline. The connections you make at an event feed straight into the rest of your business.
Practical tips
- Set up a clear event page with all the details people need to register.
- Use your email, SMS and social tools to promote and remind.
- Keep attendee management organised for a smooth event day.
- Always follow up afterwards, that is where much of the value is.
My take
Events brings the whole lifecycle, registration, ticketing, promotion, attendee management and follow-up, into one system, so running an event is organised rather than chaotic. And because attendees land in Odoo, the relationships you build carry straight through to sales. That end-to-end connection is what makes it worthwhile.
